Another Successful Career Cafe!

This week, we hosted two great speakers.  First, Mrs. Allison Walton, a school social worker.  Second, Mike Longo, a Perfusionist at Barnes/Jewish Hospital.

We had over 60 students attend one of these two Career Cafes and are looking forward to our next opportunity the week of February 9th.  As always, a big thank you to our speakers who took time out of their day to share the love they have for their professions.

Career Cafe

Our first Career Cafe of the 2014-2015 school year was lots of fun and a great learning experience for our FGC kiddos.  Between all four lunch blocks, we had approximately 60 students attend. Thanks so much to Mr. Daniel Klein (Financial Advisor) and Ms. Diana Stoyanova (Chemist) for sharing your love of your job and your backgrounds in Math and Science with our students.

NCADA "Download This" Presentation at FGC

The FGC is fortunate enough to have NCADA coming in to teach our fifth graders on line safety and netiquette this month.  Today, approximately half of our students received the lesson and the other half will receive it on Friday January 23rd.  Look for more information to come home in your child's Friday Folder.  Be sure to ask your child what they learned about the best safety and netiquette practices.
