Summer Send Off

We had a fun filled day at the FGC for our annual "Summer Send Off" Celebration.  In the morning, kids rotated between stations that included...Dance Party with DJ and Photo Booth, Bubble Bus, 9 Square in the Air, Bounce House, Field Games, Kona Ice Snow Cones, Dunk Tank, and more.  Then, we had a delicious bbq lunch together as a school and ended the day with yearbook signing.  To the Class of 2025.....we will miss you! We know you are off to do great things in the world.  Please remember to be kind, work hard, and always show your ROARS! Once you are a Dragon, you will always be a Dragon.  On a personal note, I am very sad to be leaving this amazing school, but am re-locating with my family to Charlotte, North Carolina.  Although I will be far away from the FGC in distance, this school, my incredible co-workers, and the many wonderful memories made here will always be close to my heart.  Thanks for an amazing five years at the Fifth Grade Center!  And, a warm welcome to the new counselor, Ms. Stacy Hood, who will be taking my place in August of 2018.

The FGC's Got Talent!!

Our annual Talent Show was this past Friday and as always, it did not disappoint.  Each year I sit and watch in awe of the spectacular talent of our students (and staff).  We had such a wide variety this year and I enjoyed every moment of the performance.  Congratulations to all of the students and staff that participated in this memorable event!

New Exercise Equipment

This week FGC students and staff have had a BLAST trying out our new exercise equipment (located in various places around the building).  As we all know, kids need to move to learn.  These new pieces of equipment are designed to give all students more opportunities to take brain breaks throughout the day.  More information on the benefits of physical activity and movement at school can be found at the following sites:

Field Trip to the Fifth (Team Air Hosts Spoede 4th Graders)

Our final Field Trip to the Fifth was a huge success.  Team Air students were eager to be the "experts" on the FGC for the morning and had lots of fun getting to know their buddies.  Thanks to all of our staff members and students for the time and effort to put together this worthwhile annual event. We look forward to the Class of 2026 joining the FGC Dragon Family in August.   .
